Kelly Kolasinski
OWNER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Kelly’s path to interior design began in 2007, when an unexpected role in cabinetry, countertop, and plumbing sales sparked her passion for spatial planning, problem-solving, and clear communication. With a background in Computer Science and Mathematics, more than 15 years of experience, and a connection to her Swedish heritage, she founded Hemma Living in 2019 with a simple belief that great design should support the way we live.
From full-service kitchen and bath transformations to tailored material sourcing and thoughtful layout planning, Kelly has helped hundreds of homeowners move forward with clarity, confidence, and calm.
When she’s not leading her growing team of designers or collaborating with contractors, creatives, and clients, you’ll likely find her at the cabin with her husband and four kids, cheering from the soccer sidelines, or exploring new places with her dogs—always inspired by food, culture, and the beauty of a well-lived life.
Amanda Korhonen
Lead Designer
As a visionary creative with a rich background in cabinetry, former owner of Pottery Burn, and current co-owner of Rust, Amanda brings a wealth of expertise and industry knowledge to the table.
Her style seamlessly blends traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities, often incorporating rustic materials like metal, wood, and distressed finishes to create a fresh yet timeless aesthetic.
Beyond her design skills, Amanda is also a wife, a mom of two boys, and a passionate artist at heart. Whether she's painting furniture, repurposing antiques, or showcasing her flair for fashion, she has a way of inspiring others around her to tap into their inner artist.
Bri Berini
STUDIO & MARKETING COORDINATOR
With a background in business, photography, and graphic design, Bri plays a key role in supporting our day-to-day operations and visual presence.
Known for her strong organizational skills, client-centered approach, and artistic eye, Bri brings structure, consistency, and clarity to both the studio's creative and behind-the-scenes work. Whether she’s coordinating content, refining systems, or supporting day-to-day needs, she always ensures our strong values are reflected in the details.
Outside the studio, Bri enjoys staying active at her local CrossFit gym, spending summers relaxing at her family cabin, and sketching or unwinding with a good book or movie.
Coleen Grooms
COLLABORATIVE PARTNER
A licensed interior designer and longtime business owner, Coleen brings a rare blend of design expertise, intuition, and entrepreneurial know-how.
Her background spans from interior design to in-depth furniture refinishing and repair, but it’s her innate ability to connect in ways that build genuine trust with clients, contractors, and collaborators alike that sets her apart. At her core, Coleen believes great design is rooted in meaningful connection between people, spaces, and the way we live within them.
When she’s not working, Coleen loves spending time outdoors, ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to canoeing and horseback riding. And if she looks familiar, you may recognize her from Family Feud, when she won with her sister.
Ksusha Olson
COLLABORATIVE PARTNER
As a collaborative partner and owner of The Perfect Draft, Ksusha brings a wealth of expertise in drafting, space planning, and 3D visualization. Her exceptional technical skill and eye for detail have even earned her recognition as Chief Architect for excellence in design visualization.
In addition to her technical skills, she has a particular talent for helping clients clearly understand a design before it’s built. Her renderings are known for their precision, depth, and thoughtful attention to detail—qualities she and Hemma Living’s founder, Kelly, deeply value.
Beyond work, Ksusha enjoys spending time with her family, traveling throughout Central and Northern Europe, and drawing creative inspiration from new places, cultures, and architecture.
Sarah Collaborative Design Partner
RESIDENTIAL DESIGNER
With 30 years of experience in residential design, Sarah brings a calm, methodical presence and a deep understanding of how spaces should function. At Hemma Living, she supports clients with cabinetry layouts, finish selections, and design solutions that prioritize clarity, longevity, and livability.
Known for her thoughtful approach and attention to construction detail, she has a gift for asking the right questions and applying her knowledge with precision and care.
Outside of design, Sarah is a passionate gardener, adventurous home cook, and curious traveler. She and her husband find joy in experimenting with new recipes, cultivating meaningful outdoor spaces, and building a life rooted in creativity, compassion, and connection. Whether planning a garden bed or exploring a new destination, Sarah is always drawn to the quiet details that make a space feel personal, lived-in, and deeply loved.
